How to Cancel Tidal Wave Membership

How to Cancel Tidal Wave Membership

To cancel Tidal Wave membership, use the online club management form on tidalwaveautospa.com website, call customer service, or stop by any location.

The rule that trips people up your bill recurs on the anniversary of the day you joined, and Tidal Wave requires cancellation at least 7 business days before that recharge date.

There’s no contract and no cancellation fee the only thing that costs you money is missing that 7-day window, since Tidal Wave issues no refunds once a charge processes.

  • There’s no contract or cancellation fee, but Tidal Wave issues no refunds if you miss the deadline.
  • Your deadline is 7 business days before your personal billing anniversary, not the calendar month.
  • Keep written confirmation of your cancellation it’s your only proof if a charge still goes through afterward.

Membership Cancellation Methods

Cancel online for the fastest result if you have a standard individual Clean Club plan. You’ll need the 11-digit club number printed on your windshield sticker.

  1. Find your 11-digit club number on the sticker on your windshield.
  2. Go to the club management tool on Tidal Wave’s website.
  3. Enter your club number and account details.
  4. Submit the cancellation request at least 7 business days before your recharge date.
  5. Watch for the email confirmation and keep it.

Membership cancellation methods: online, phone, or in person.

Cancelling Online

The online form is the quickest route, but it only works for standard individual Clean Club plans. There’s no dedicated Tidal Wave app for this, so it’s a web form, not an app cancellation.

The catch is that online cancellation won’t go through if your recharge is already in progress, if you don’t have the correct 11-digit club number, or if you’re on a Family plan.

In any of those cases the form kicks you to phone or in-person instead. Tidal Wave’s own membership help page spells out these exceptions, so check which plan you have before you start.

Cancelling by Phone

Call 706-938-0991 or visit any location to cancel, which is the required route for Family plans or if you’ve lost your club number.

Have your name on the account, phone number, and vehicle make and model ready before you call.

Lines are open daily if you’re near your 7-day deadline, call during business hours rather than risk voicemail.

Ask for written confirmation and the effective date, since a phone cancellation with no paper trail is how billing disputes start.

The same 7-business-day notice applies to every route, not just the online one.

Cancelling In Person

Visit any Tidal Wave location and speak with a team member to cancel on the spot.

This works whether or not you have your club number, since staff can pull up your account using your membership info or license plate. It’s genuinely painless, and you can grab one last wash before you go.

Ask for written confirmation and the effective date, and remember the same 7-business-day notice applies here too.

Billing Anniversary vs Calendar Month

This is the detail almost nobody writes down Tidal Wave charges you on the anniversary of your enrollment date, not on the first of the month, a rule set out in its own Clean Club terms.

So your cancellation deadline is personal to you.

Say you enrolled on the 18th. Your card recharges on the 18th every month, and the 7-business-day rule means you need to submit your cancellation around the 7th or 8th, earlier if weekends fall in that window.

Cancel on the 16th and you’ve missed it, so the next month’s charge still lands.

Your real deadline isn’t the anniversary date, it’s 7 business days before it.

Weekends and holidays don’t count toward those seven days, so count backward from your join date and give yourself a couple of extra days of buffer.

Refunds and Remaining Wash Days

You keep washing until your next billing date, but you won’t get a refund.

Tidal Wave issues no refunds for mid-cycle cancellations, so cancelling doesn’t claw back any of the month you’ve already paid.

Because of that, the smart move is to cancel right after a charge posts, then use the full paid month before access ends.

Prepaid annual members are in a different spot if you’re on the twelve-for-eleven plan, you’ve already paid for the year and there’s no monthly charge to stop, so you’re letting it lapse at renewal rather than halting a recurring bill.

Contact Tidal Wave directly about a prepaid plan, and remove the windshield sticker once you’re done. The wider plan structure is covered in the Tidal Wave Auto Spa review..

Pausing or Downgrading

If cost is the issue rather than the wash itself, downgrade to a cheaper tier instead of cancelling the same club management tool that handles cancellations also lets you change your plan level.

Tidal Wave doesn’t publish a formal pause option like it does for cancellations and plan changes, so if you only want a short break, ask your location whether a hold is possible before cancelling outright.

Downgrading to the entry plan is usually the better move than a full cancel-and-rejoin, since re-enrolling means a new sticker and a new billing date to track.

Downgrading also keeps your existing billing anniversary intact, unlike cancelling and rejoining, which resets it.

If You Are Still Being Charged

If a charge lands after you’ve cancelled, pull up your email confirmation and contact Tidal Wave with the date you submitted the request that confirmation is exactly why you keep it.

If customer service can’t resolve it, dispute the charge with your card issuer and attach the confirmation.

Charges that continue after a documented, on-time cancellation are a billing error, and the paper trail settles it.

This is the same fix that works if you cancel a Mister Car Wash membership or cancel a Zips membership and still get billed.
